Aujourd’hui, la plate-forme J2EE a acquis en maturité et constitue désormais l’une des deux grandes plates-formes de développement avec .NET de Microsoft. Depuis la dernière enquête réalisée par l’éditeur de gestion de performances d’applications Java Wily Technology, le nombre des applications développées sur la plate-forme J2EE a augmenté en nombre et en maturité. En moyenne, le niveau de disponibilité est resté stable à 88% ; en revanche le niveau de performances a augmenté de 80 à 85%.
Une étude menée par Wily Technology confirme la place croissante des technologies J2EE. Elle révèle surtout que les applications affichent une disponibilité de 88% seulement.
Selon une étude comparative menée par l'éditeur américain Wily Technology sur la gestion des performances des applications Java, le taux de disponibilité moyen des applications est de 88%. Une application disponible 88% du temps signifie qu'elle ne fonctionne pas correctement pendant 2,8 heures par jour en moyenne, ce qui est peut être énorme pour une application métier (commerce en ligne...).
