Integration of Introscope With HP HotSpot JVM Allows Automatic
Monitoring of Application Components
Burlingame, CA - June 25, 2001 - Wily Technology, Inc. (www.wilytech.com),
the emerging leader in Web application management, today
announced that it will integrate Introscope with Hewlett-Packard
Company's Hotspot Java Virtual Machine. The integration of
Wily's Introscope with the HP Hotspot JVM will make it easier
for companies to immediately pinpoint performance bottlenecks
inside Java-based Web applications and JVMs.
Introscope's AutoProbe interface will be included with HP
Hotspot JVM version 1.2.2.08 and higher, giving HP customers
the ability to automatically manage any Java production application
with component-level precision from within HP's JVM as well
as from within the application server and the application
itself. Introscope offers quick and efficient problem resolution
for customers who deploy high-performance Java-based Web
solutions.
Because Introscope offers low performance overhead and requires
no additional development effort, lab technicians can use
it to speed the testing and QA cycles of Java products by
early and rapid isolation of performance.

from the outside, Wily's Introscope Enterprise Edition 2.6
is a comprehensive solution that manages the entire system
by analyzing performance from within the application itself.
By working from the inside out, Introscope manages the performance
of third party Java code (i.e. application servers), JDBC
database, distributed requests (RMI and CORBA) and can pinpoint
performance bottlenecks whether emanating from an internal
Java application component (Servlet, EJB, method) or caused
by an external interface such as the security server or database.
