U.S. Patent Solidifies Industry Lead For Wily Technology

announced that it has been awarded a U.S. patent for its
unique performance management technology, which allows automatic
component-level monitoring of Java Web and transactional
applications.
The instrumentation process for which the patent was issued
is the core technology behind Wily’s Introscope, a lightweight,
comprehensive monitoring solution that automatically manages
the performance of any Java application by working from within
the application itself. Introscope monitors the performance
of third party Java code (i.e. application servers), JDBC
databases, distributed requests (RMI and CORBA) and can pinpoint
performance bottlenecks whether caused by an internal Java
application component (Servlet, EJB, method) or by an external
interface such as the security server or database.
