Wily Technology
Introduces PowerPack for IBM WebSphere Application Server
Introscope Module Extends Management for IBM WebSphere
Application Platform
Burlingame, CA - November 08, 2001 - Wily Technology, Inc.
a leader in Java Web Application Management, today announced
a new Introscope PowerPack that delivers advanced performance
management for IBM WebSphere*.
Wily's PowerPack for WebSphere 3.5 combines Introscope's
ability to monitor the performance of production J2EE components
such as EJBs, JSPs and Servlets with measurements specific
to WebSphere. Built with cooperation from the WebSphere Development
Team in Raleigh, N.C., PowerPack for WebSphere is pre-configured
to offer instant component-level monitoring of WebSphere
Application Server including JDBC Connection pools, HTTP
session objects, and Servlet threads. PowerPack for WebSphere
makes it easier than ever for operations personnel and professional
services personnel to tune their systems for optimal performance
and to isolate bottlenecks whether inside the Java application
or in one of the backend systems.
"Working with companies like Wily Technology to provide
complementary solutions for IBM WebSphere software is part
of our commitment to deliver leading-edge e-business integrated
solutions," said Scott Hebner, director of WebSphere marketing. "PowerPack
for WebSphere will further enable companies to manage mission-critical
applications for optimal performance."
"With deployments of J2EE-based solutions continuing to
rise, our partners have faced an increasing need for reliable
monitoring solutions for production Web applications running
on their high-performance application servers," said Vic
Nyman, vice-president of marketing for Wily. "Introscope
PowerPacks meet that exact need by delivering component-level
visibility into the application server itself, allowing professional
services and field teams to help customers quickly find and
fix problems no matter where they are."
PowerPack for WebSphere is an add-on module for Introscope,
Wily's comprehensive performance solution that manages the
entire system by analyzing performance from within the application
itself. By working from the inside out, Introscope manages
the performance of third party Java-based applications running
on an application server platform, JDBCoe database connections,
distributed requests (RMI and CORBA) and can pinpoint the
exact cause of any performance bottlenecks whether an internal
Java-based application component (Servlet, EJB, method) or
an external interface such as the security server or database.
