Marketing and Business Development Management Teams
Mike Malloy Joins as Vice President of Marketing Communications;
Kent Smith Signs on as Vice President of Business Development
Burlingame, CA - April 11, 2002 - Wily

Management, today announced that it has added two seasoned
executives to its marketing and business development teams.
Wily has appointed Mike Malloy as vice president of marketing
communications and Kent Smith as vice president of business
development. Together Malloy and Smith bring more than
50 years of high-tech management, marketing, brand development,
sales and business development experience to Wily.
As vice president of marketing communications, Mike Malloy,
will spearhead outbound marketing, corporate communications
and brand development. He will report to Victor Nyman who
was recently promoted to senior vice president of marketing.
Kent Smith, as vice president of business development for
Wily is chartered with managing and growing Wily's strategic
channel and technology partnerships. He will report to Amy
Lewis, Wily' sr. vice president of worldwide sales and business
development.

Mike Malloy, Vice President of Marketing Communications
Mike Malloy brings more than 28 years of marketing and brand
development experience to his role as vice president of marketing
at Wily. Most recently Malloy was vice president of marketing
at Business Logic Corp., a software developer focused on
e-finance infrastructure products. Prior to Business Logic,
Malloy was senior vice president responsible for corporate
marketing and product management at Fair, Isaac & Co.,
a publicly held firm focused on consumer financial services
technology.
Other experience includes senior marketing positions at
KPMG, Deloitte & Touche and Digital Research, and systems
engineering positions with IBM Corp. Malloy holds a bachelor's
degree from St. Louis University.

Kent Smith, Vice President of Business Development
Kent Smith, vice president of business development for Wily,
brings more than 28 years of experience in sales and corporate
operations. Most recently, Smith served as chief operating
officer at Legato systems where he was responsible for the
company's worldwide sales, marketing, support, professional
services, development and product management departments.
In this role, Smith helped drive Legato's revenue growth
from $16 million in 1994 to nearly $240 million in 2000.
Prior to Legato Smith worked for Verifone, Inc. where he
served as vice president of emerging markets products and
was responsible for sales, product development and marketing
for the company's advance retail products. Smith also brings
19 years of experience from IBM where he served in the sales
organization of the Data Processing and National Accounts
Division culminating with his role as San Francisco regional
manager. Additionally, Smith served as general manager of
IBM China where he was responsible for all IBM operations
in China. Smith holds a bachelor's degree from California
State University Fullerton and an MBA from the University
of Southern California.
