Wily Technology Announces Application Management Support for BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0

Introscope® 3.0 Offers Comprehensive Application Management Solution

Burlingame, CA - June 25, 2002 - Wily Technology, the leader in Enterprise Web Application Management, today announced support for BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0™, BEA Systems' (Nasdaq: BEAS) easy-to-use application infrastructure platform for building, integrating, extending, and managing critical business applications. BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0 increases productivity and lowers the cost structure for enterprise IT organizations by providing a unified, simplified, and extensible platform for application development, deployment and management.

Introscope, Wily's flagship application management solution, monitors the performance and availability of each element of BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0 -- BEA WebLogic Server™, BEA WebLogic Portal™, BEA WebLogic Integration™ and BEA WebLogic Workshop™. In addition, it delivers component-level visibility into applications built on WebLogic Platform, as well as connectors to back-end systems such as transaction servers and databases, making it easy for IT personnel to manage the performance and determine the cause of bottlenecks with pinpoint accuracy. Direct integration of Introscope's patented Agent technology with BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 also allows customers to automatically monitor applications as soon as Introscope is installed.

With Introscope and the Introscope family of products, Wily Technology has developed a comprehensive Web Application Management solution for BEA WebLogic Platform that combines unparalleled visibility into Java applications, seamless integration with existing systems management processes, and Wily's expertise in Java performance and benchmarking to offer a "whole application" view of the entire Java environment.

"The ability to offer component level monitoring of production applications running on WebLogic Platform 7.0 is typical of the outstanding value customers can expect from our partnership with Wily Technology," said John Kiger, director of product marketing, BEA Systems, Inc. "Together, WebLogic Platform 7.0 and Wily's Introscope give our customers a robust framework for building, integrating and managing high-performance business applications."

"Wily Technology and BEA Systems are working closely together to ensure that enterprise customers have every advantage when deploying high-performance solutions built on WebLogic Platform," said Steve Tucker, Wily's vice-president of product management. "Wily's Introscope is a perfect complement for the WebLogic Platform suite of products. Its ability to quickly pinpoint bottlenecks in production environments makes Introscope an excellent solution for helping ensure that mission-critical applications stay healthy and available around-the-clock."
