that sales through June 2002 have already surpassed full-year

enterprise Web applications in which quality of service is
closely linked with brand value have generated the greatest

impact of poor online service, a Jupiter Research survey
published in April 2002(1) reports that 80 percent of respondents
would be less likely to buy online from a merchant if they
have had a dissatisfying online experience, and 53 percent
would be less likely to buy offline from a merchant if they
have had a dissatisfying online experience.
