Wily Technology Announces Integration of Introscope® 4.0 with BEA WebLogic Server 8.1

BEA and Wily Solutions Help Enterprise Applications Meet High Demands for Performance and Availability

ORLANDO, Fla. — BEA eWORLD 2003 CONFERENCE — March 3, 2003 — Wily Technology, the leader in Enterprise Java Application Management, today announced the direct integration of Introscope 4.0, the newest version of Wily's comprehensive Enterprise Java Application Management solution, with BEA WebLogic Server™ 8.1, the latest release of BEA Systems' (Nasdaq: BEAS) market-leading application server. Together, these solutions help businesses ensure that their mission-critical Java applications meet high demands for performance and availability.

Used by companies worldwide, Introscope offers a Whole Application View™ into the entire application environment, allowing IT teams to identify performance problems whether inside the application itself, the application server, or in back-end transactional and supporting systems. Introscope's Blame Technology™ isolates bottlenecks in production applications, application servers and back-end systems all the way down to individual Servlets, JSPs, EJBs, Classes, Methods and more. Wily's patented low-overhead agent technology allows IT staff to manage live production applications and their operating environment 24x7.

A key focus of BEA WebLogic Server 8.1 is around ease-of-use features designed to make developers and administrators more productive as well as reduce the time and cost of developing and maintaining industrial strength applications. Direct integration of Introscope's patented Agent technology with WebLogic Server 8.1 can allow customers to monitor WebLogic applications automatically as soon as Introscope is installed.

"BEA WebLogic Server 8.1 gives IT personnel a robust platform for creating and deploying critical enterprise Java applications," said Scott Edgington, vice president and general manager, global software partners, BEA Systems. "WebLogic Server customers also need an effective means to monitor and manage these applications whether in pre- or post-deployment environments. The direct integration of Wily' Introscope with WebLogic Server 8.1 can make it easier for businesses to take advantage of Introscope's deep, component-level visibility into critical Java applications and to ensure peak application performance."

"Wily and BEA Systems have worked closely together to give WebLogic Server customers every advantage when it comes to creating and deploying enterprise Java applications," said Steve Tucker, vice president of product management at Wily Technology. "Introscope's ability to monitor Java applications 24x7 and pinpoint component-level performance bottlenecks gives businesses a tremendously effective means for delivering high availability and eliminating performance issues before they impact customers."
