Wily Technology
Announces Integration of Introscope® with Sun ONE Application
Server 7.0
Integration Makes It Easier for Enterprises to Ensure the
Health and Availability of J2EE Applications
San Francisco, CA — JavaOne — June 10, 2003 — Wily
Technology, the leader in Enterprise Java Application Management,
today announced the direct integration of Introscope® 4.1,
the newest version of Wily’s comprehensive Enterprise
Java Application Management solution, with Sun ONE Application
Server 7.0. By offering automatic visibility into J2EE applications,
the integration of the two products will make it easier for
companies to monitor the health and availability of their
mission-critical Java applications.
Used by companies worldwide, Introscope offers a Whole Application™ view
into the entire Java environment, allowing IT teams to identify
performance problems whether inside the application itself,
the application server, or in back-end transactional and
supporting systems. Introscope’s Blame™ technology
isolates bottlenecks in production applications, application
servers and back-end systems all the way down to individual
Servlets, JSPs, EJBs, Classes, Methods and more. Wily’s
patented low-overhead agent technology allows IT staff to
manage live production applications and their operating environment
24x7. The direct integration of Introscope's AutoProbe™ technology
with Sun ONE Application Server allows customers to monitor
Sun ONE applications automatically as soon as Introscope
is installed.
The Sun ONE Application Server provides a J2EE 1.3 compatible
platform for developing and delivering Java Web services.
It integrates a powerful application development environment
with the Sun ONE Studio 4, that increases developer productivity
and speeds overall time to market. Available in three editions,
each designed to provide specific functionality for different
usage scenarios and service levels, the Sun ONE Application
Server delivers end-to-end high performance across a broad
range of Web and enterprise application requirements.
"Enterprises understand that having a strong foundation
for deploying and managing high-performance transactional
applications is a critical business need," said Steve
Tucker, Wily’s vice president of product management. "It
is essential that these applications not only deliver the
products, information and services for which they were designed,
but also that they provide a return on the company’s
IT investments. By offering automatic visibility into these
Java applications in each step of the application lifecycle,
the integration of the two products makes it easier for enterprises
to achieve business goals and deliver high Quality of Service.”
“When it comes to performance, reliability and scalability,
it’s important that our enterprise customers who are
deploying J2EE applications and Web services have every advantage,” said
Carla Dimond, senior group manager, Market Development, Sun
Microsystems, Inc. “We’ve worked closely with
Wily to provide a robust application server platform on which
to build enterprise-class applications, but also with the
visibility into the environment to maintain a reliable level
of application availability.”
