Posts Over 200 Percent Growth in Q1 2005
Brisbane, California – May 9, 2005 – Wily
Technology, the leader in enterprise application management,
today announced it achieved growth of 222 percent in Q1 2005 over Q1 2004, and a second consecutive quarter of operating profitability. More enterprises manage more mission-critical Web applications with Wily than any other provider.
"Thanks to our laser focus on customer success, Wily achieved stellar results in a traditionally slow quarter for IT spending," said Dick Williams, president and CEO of Wily Technology, Inc. "Building on our momentum of 69 percent growth in 2004, we accelerated significantly in Q1. Beyond great execution, Wily also delivered new product innovations in the quarter that reinforce our position as the de facto standard in Web application management."
Global Reach
Adoption of Wily's solutions grew among Global 2000 enterprises across all industries. Key new or extended customer relationships in the first quarter included ADP Dealer Services, AT&T Labs, Beckman Coulter, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Canada Revenue Agency, Canadian Border Services Agency, Canadian National Railway Company, Cendant Travel Distribution Services, Choice Hotels International, Credit Acceptance Corporation, Dillards, Edmunds.com, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Manulife Financial, Northwestern Mutual Life, Principal Financial Group, Research in Motion, Unisys, United States Patent and Trademark Office and Vision Service Plan

and resellers to 54 in Q1 2005, including the first partners

Setting the Bar for Innovation
In Q1 2005, Wily was listed in the Leaders quadrant in Gartner's
J2EE Application Server Management Magic Quadrant.¹ According
to Gartner, Inc., Leaders are performing well today, have
a clear vision of market direction and are actively building
competencies to sustain their leadership position in the
market.
Reinforcing that positioning, Wily introduced three new
products in the quarter. Significant milestones included
new versions of Wily Introscope®, the dominant application
monitoring and management tool. Those Introscope releases
featured Wily SmartStor™, which records 100 percent of
the data reported to Introscope and makes it available for
viewing in customized dashboards or in easy-to-read reports
for problem solving, problem replay, trend analysis and capacity
planning. Performance of every application component can
be viewed in real time or can be replayed from any time period
for up to a year. The company also shipped Wily Browser Response
Time (BRT) Adapter™ for monitoring Web application response
to end-user browser requests. Wily's BRT Adapter is the first
performance monitor to provide full, component-level transaction
visibility from the browser to back-end systems with no hardware,
no synthetic transactions, no application code changes, no
security risk and with low overhead.
